Notes:
2006: Selected by Portland in 1st round (2nd overall) of the NBA Draft; Traded to Portland in a four-player deal, June 28th...2007: NBA All-Rookie First Team...2010: Re-signed with Portland to a five-year deal worth 67.5 million...2011: All-NBA Third Team...2012: NBA All-Star...2013: NBA All-Star.

Earned Third-Team All-American honors from the National Association of Basketball Coaches and was also the Big 12 Conference Defensive Player of the Year in 2005-06...Aldridge, who recorded 16 double-doubles through 37 games as a sophomore, averaged 15 points, 9.2 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per outing for the Texas Longhorns...Paced the team in total blocked shots with 73 last season and had the top field goal shooting percentage (.569) as well...Aldridge started the first 16 games of the 2004-05 campaign as a freshman before a left hip injury sidelined him for the rest of the year...Had successful surgery to repair torn cartilage at the beginning of March and showed a lot of tenacity to come back the following year...A very smooth player in the post, he has great touch from the foul line in and has been able to remain consistent while also putting on a considerable amount of muscle between his freshman and sophomore seasons...Previous injury will be a concern for the pros, but he is very coachable and willing to learn...Regarded as the best big man in this draft and is certainly a top-five selection, if not the top pick overall.
