Description: Suns forward Michael Beasley will not rejoin the team Saturday against Minnesota as earlier thought. SOURCE: Paul Coro, Arizona Republic
Insight: Beasley is back in Phoenix with his newborn daughter. He's been exclusively coming off the bench since the All-Star break and his falling numbers show it. He's averaging just 9.0 ppg and 3.3 rpg in the last 24 games and has little fantasy value.

Insight: Beasley is back in Phoenix with his newborn daughter. He also missed Tuesday's game.

4/10/2013 11:45:00 AM
Description: Suns forward Michael Beasley missed Tuesday's game due to the birth of his child, but is probable for Wednesday's game against Dallas.
Insight: Beasley is averaging 11.3 points and 20 minutes over his last 16 games, but he isn't producing in Phoenix as he did in Miami or Minnesota.

Description: Suns forward Michael Beasley will miss Tuesday's game due to the birth of his child.
Insight: Beasley is averaging 11.3 points and 20 minutes over his last 16 games.

4/4/2013 10:03:00 AM
Description: Suns forward Michael Beasley was ejected from Wednesday night's loss to the Clippers after getting into it with Los Angeles big man Ryan Hollins.
Insight: That comes as no surprise given Beasley's reputation. He was just sticking up for his teammate Goran Dragic so we're guessing the league won't suspend him for his actions. With that said, Beasley hasn't been a consistent fantasy contributor this season (10.1 ppg, 3.8 rpg). He's only an option in extremely deep formats.

3/21/2013 10:15:00 AM
Description: Phoenix small forward Michael Beasley only logged eight minutes Wednesday in a defeat against Washington.
Insight: The benching had nothing to do with Beasley's behavior or attitude, which have both been issues in the past. He just wasn't playing particularly well (1-of-5 from the field). The fact of the matter is Beasley hasn't panned out since the Heat made him the No. 2 overall pick in the 2008 NBA Draft. He's already on his third team in five seasons and the closest he's come to fantasy relevance was in 2010-11 when he averaged 19.2 ppg and 5.6 rebounds per contest.

Hot1/31/2013 10:49:00 AM
Description: Suns forward Michael Beasley exploded for 27 points on 12-of-20 shooting with six boards and five steals in 34 minutes off the bench Wednesday night against the Lakers.
Insight: Suns interim coach Lindsay Hunter has put his faith in Beasley while former coach Alvin Gentry had none. Beasley is averaging 16.3 points, 5.9 rebounds, 1.1 assists, 0.8 steals and 0.5 blocks in 23 minutes over his last eight games. Hunter has gotten Beasley to shoot just 1.5 threes per game in that span. The forward took 2.7 over his first 25 games and only made 30.9 percent. Beasley's 34 minutes Wednesday were his most since Nov. 17.

Insight: Beasley is averaging 14.7 points and 5.9 rebounds with a .484 shooting percentage in 21 minutes per game over his last seven contests. He fell out of favor with former coach Alvin Gentry and only played seven minutes per game from Dec. 29 to Jan. 11 before an injury to Jared Dudley forced Gentry to use him again. Beasley is certainly an option for deeper-league owners, but realize that more minutes doesn't necessarily mean better production if Beasley shoots 36.8 percent like he did in his first 34 games.

1/27/2013 9:46:00 AM
Description: Suns forward Michael Beasley is averaging 15.2 points on 49.4 percent shooting with 6.2 rebounds over his last six games.
Insight: Beasley scored 25 points on 11-of-16 shooting Saturday against the Spurs. He's back to playing 20-plus minutes per game after being buried on the bench in mid-January.

1/13/2013 10:07:00 AM
Description: Suns forward Michael Beasley scored 20 points Saturday for the first time since Dec. 8. Beasley played 21 minutes, his most since Dec. 26.
Insight: Beasley has been buried on the bench this month and only saw more time Saturday night due to the absence of Jared Dudley (wrist). Once Dudley returns, it will be back to obscurity for Beasley.

12/24/2012 11:15:00 AM
Description: Suns forward Michael Beasley is questionable for Wednesday's game against New York due to illness.
Insight: Beasley hasn't been the factor many thought he would be this season, averaging 10.8 ppg, 3.7 rpg and 2.3 apg. Jared Dudley starts at the SF position with Beasley coming off the bench.

12/8/2012 7:22:00 PM
Description: Suns forward Michael Beasley came off the bench for the first time this season and scored 21 points on 7-of-11 shooting (4-of-7 3PT). He also pulled down four rebounds with five assists.
Insight: Beasley was replaced by Jared Dudley after he shot 10-of-35 (28.6) from the field in his previous three games. He's too inconsistent to be trusted in fantasy leagues right now, especially because his bench stint is likely to continue after Saturday's rousing success.

11/27/2012 9:37:00 PM
Description: Suns small forward Michael Beasley continued his solid play Tuesday with 15 points on 6-of-8 shooting against Cleveland.
Insight: Beasley is averaging 18 points over his last two games to hold off P.J. Tucker's bid for his starting job.

11/26/2012 12:49:00 PM
Description: Suns small forward Michael Beasley was on point Sunday, scoring 21 points on 8-of-13 shooting in 32 minutes against the Sixers.
Insight: Beasley has been disappointing to say the least in his first year in Phoenix, shooting just 37.4 percent from the field and averaging 12.4 ppg in 29 minutes. His struggles have opened the door for former Texas Longhorn P.J. Tucker, who scored 26 points in the two games prior to Sunday. However, Tucker was scoreless on one field goal attempt against Philadelphia.

11/7/2012 10:40:00 PM
Description: Suns small forward Michael Beasley went off for 21 points, 15 rebounds, seven assists and three blocks Wednesday in a win over the Bobcats.
Insight: It wasn't all good for Beasley, who shot just 7-of-21 from the field while giving away five turnovers. Turnovers and streaky shooting aside, it definitely seems like Beasley is more comfortable in Phoenix than he was in Minnesota last year.

11/3/2012 9:25:00 AM
Description: Suns forward Michael Beasley had a much better performance in the second game of the season than the opener, shooting 7-of-18 for 16 points with seven rebounds Friday versus Detroit. He had just eight points on 2-of-9 shooting.
Insight: Beasley only played 22 minutes and scored eight points on 2-of-9 shooting in Wednesday's opener but he rebounded to play 29 minutes Friday. His 18 shot attempts led the team.

11/1/2012 4:58:00 PM
Description: Suns forward Michael Beasley slumped in the season opener Wednesday. He had just eight points on 2-of-9 shooting.
Insight: Beasley only played 22 minutes, which is a bit disconcerting for fantasy owners. We expect him to factor more in Phoenix' offense going forward but he's going to have to shoot better to avoid riding the pine.

10/27/2012 10:45:00 AM
Description: Suns forward Michael Beasley scored 29 points on 13-of-21 shooting with 10 rebounds and a block in Friday's preseason game versus Denver.
Insight: Suns coach Alvin Gentry has asked Beasley to be more aggressive. It's clear the forward is going to get a big chance to produce with Phoenix. While he won't match the 17.1 shots and 19.2 points he averaged in 2010-11 with Minnesota, Beasley could exceed 15 ppg with solid rebounding totals.

10/15/2012 8:27:00 PM
Description: Suns coach Alvin Gentry said he wants forward Michael Beasley to be more aggressive. "Right now he's trying to be a pleaser. I really don't want him to be a pleaser," Gentry said, according to Craig Grialou of ArizonaSports.com.
Insight: Beasley was really only turned loose once in his career, in 2010-11 with Minnesota when he took 17.1 shots per game and averaged 19.2 ppg. Now with the Suns, Beasley is a lock to exceed his 11.5 ppg from 2011-12.

9/17/2012 2:32:00 PM
Description: Suns SF Michael Beasley could be in line for a starting spot and improved fantasy value with the Suns.
Insight: The Suns roster is undergoing huge changes with Steve Nash (12.5 ppg, 10.7 asp) and Grant Hill (10.2 ppg) gone. Over his career as a starter, Beasley has averaged 16.7 ppg and 6.1 rpg. Playing most off the bench last season in Minnesota he averaged just 11.5 ppg and 4.4 rpg.
