Evans' jumper lifts Pelicans over Blazers

New Orleans, LA (SportsNetwork.com) - Tyreke Evans nailed a go-ahead jumper with 1.2 seconds left and the New Orleans Pelicans topped the Portland Trail Blazers 110-108 on Monday night.

After Damian Lillard tied the game at 108-108 with 10.9 seconds left when he rattled home a straightaway 3, Pelicans head coach Monty Williams elected not to call a timeout, and Evans found himself isolated on Mo Williams along the right wing.

Evans took three dribbles, two with his right hand and then between his legs before he rose up and swished the jumper to give New Orleans a two-point edge.

LaMarcus Aldridge's right corner jumper at the buzzer was well off the mark.
