Rockies activate Gonzalez from DL

Denver, CO (Sports Network) - The Colorado Rockies activated outfielder Carlos Gonzalez from the 15-day disabled list among a slew of roster moves prior to Tuesday's matchup with the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Gonzalez batted .302 with 26 home runs, 70 RBI and 21 stolen bases in 103 games before being placed on the DL on Aug. 5 with a sprained right middle finger.

The 27-year-old slugger played in two games during a rehab assignment at Triple-A Colorado Springs and went 1-for-6 with a walk.

Also Tuesday, the Rockies recalled pitchers Mitchell Boggs, Manuel Corpas and Collin McHugh, along with infielder Ryan Wheeler from Colorado Springs.

Boggs, acquired from St. Louis in early July, appeared in two games for the Rockies after the trade and fired 1 2/3 scoreless innings.

Corpas owns a 1-2 record with a 4.50 earned run average over 19 games with the Rockies this season, while McHugh's only action with Colorado came in a July 27 start against Milwaukee when he was tagged for six runs on nine hits over five innings in a 7-5 loss.

Wheeler, 25, has played in 10 games with Colorado, batting .211 with two doubles and two RBI.
