Argos QB Ray out with shoulder issue
Mississauga, ON (Sports Network) - The Toronto Argonauts revealed on Thursday that quarterback Ricky Ray will miss up to six weeks due to a shoulder injury.
Zach Collaros has been tabbed to start on Tuesday at home against the Alouettes, in the first of back-to-back games with Montreal.
Ray, who was signed to a multi-year contract extension in late May in the wake of leading the Double Blue to a Grey Cup title, has completed 148-of-189 passes for 1,824 yards, 15 touchdowns and no interceptions for the 5-3 Argos.
Collaros filled in when Ray injured the shoulder on Aug. 23 against the Calgary Stampeders. He went 16-for-26, throwing for 221 yards and an interception in the 35-14 setback.
