GAME NOTES: Georgia State puts its 14-game winning streak on the line on Saturday evening, as the Sun Belt Conference-leading Panthers take on Troy at Trojan Arena.

Georgia State has been one of the hottest teams in the country over the last two months, ripping off 14 wins in a row, and all 10 of its conference bouts.

Weather conditions in Atlanta forced their game against Texas State on Thursday to be postponed. The last time the Panthers hit the floor was over a week ago on Feb. 6, when they took down Arkansas-Little Rock in a 68-57 final for a key road victory.

Devonta White led the team in scoring for the second time this season with 22 points and he grabbed five rebounds, while R.J. Hunter and Ryan Harrow dropped in 14 and 13 points, respectively.

Led by Hunter (19.9 ppg) and Harrow (17.9 ppg, 4.5 apg), who are ranked second and fifth, respectively, in the Sun Belt in scoring, the Panthers have been lighting up the scoreboard with regularity this season. They are second in the conference in scoring (79.3 ppg), while leading the pack in field goal percentage (.473). Harrow and White (11.3 ppg, 4.9 apg) are also tied for second in the league in assists. Manny Atkins (13.4 ppg, 5.9 pg) leads the way on the interior.

Troy, meanwhile, has lost six of its last seven games, including an 81-76 loss to Western Kentucky on Thursday. The Trojans, who were led by Hunter Williams' 22 points, dug themselves an 11-point halftime hole and were never able to climb out.

Williams leads the team this season in scoring with a 12.8 ppg average, but he shoots just 34.6 percent from the floor in his 23 games played. His 37.2 percent shooting effort from 3-point range is better than his accuracy inside the arc. Williams leads the team with 74 assists and he is third in steals with 20. Antoine Myers, who provided 15 points and six assists on Thursday, is second in scoring at 11.6 ppg, and Kevin Thomas is next with 10.1 ppg to go with his team-high 7.5 rpg.

The only saving grace for the Trojans here is the fact that they are playing in front of their home fans. If they can jump on top early and keep the crowd in the game, they have a chance. Otherwise, Georgia State will probably roll to its 15th straight win.
