GAME NOTES: The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets will try to put a stop to a three- game losing streak as they travel to face the Florida State Seminoles in an Atlantic Coast Conference bout at the Donald L. Tucker Center.

Georgia Tech has dropped three straight contests and five of its last seven total, including a tough 65-62 defeat at the hands of Notre Dame on Wednesday. The Yellow Jackets have struggled to a 4-11 conference record this season.

Florida State has won two of its last three games, but has dropped six of their last nine overall. The Seminoles are however, coming off a 71-66 victory over Pittsburgh last Sunday in conference play. Florida State is 7-8 in the ACC this season.

The Seminoles hold a 10-game advantage over Georgia Tech in the all-time series between the two teams, 37-27. It's the first time these teams have met on the court this season, and the only time they'll see each other during the regular season.

Notre Dame and Georgia Tech battled to a close contest on Wednesday. Two Irish free throws gave Notre Dame a three-point lead, and multiple Georgia Tech 3- point field goal attempts failed to find the mark as time wound down. Robert Carter Jr. paced the Yellow Jackets in the contest with 19 points, adding 10 rebounds for the double-double. Marcus Georges-Hunt netted 13 points, and Daniel Miller grabbed eight rebounds. Georgia Tech shot 37.3 percent from the floor, but hit 50 percent of its 3-point tries in the game.

Trae Golden leads the Yellow Jackets this season in scoring with a 12.6 ppg average, and tops the team with 78 assists. Georges-Hunt is second at 12 ppg, and Miller adds 11 ppg. Carter leads the squad in rebounding at 8.4 rpg, and chips in 10.1 ppg. Miller is the Georgia Tech leader in blocked shots (68) and in team steals (30). As a team, the Yellow Jackets are averaging 66.5 ppg and giving up 66.8 ppg to their opponents.

Florida State was able to put away Pittsburgh thanks to some top-notch defense and key contributions from Ian Miller, Aaron Thomas and Okaro White. The Seminoles held the Panthers to just 37 percent shooting in the contest, and forced 11 Pittsburgh turnovers. White led all Florida State players with 22 points, and grabbed eight rebounds. Miller chipped in 19 points, and Thomas added 14 in the victory. Montay Brandon grabbed a team-high 12 boards to help his Seminoles.

Miller, who missed some time this season with a sprained ankle that caused him to drop from the team's top scorer distinction, has regained that title since his return. Miller tallies 13.8 ppg, and adds 76 assists to his stat line. Thomas is right behind at 13.6 ppg, but leads the Seminoles in steals with 45 on the year. White is the third and final double-digit scorer on the Florida State, netting 12.5 ppg with a team-leading 6.6 rpg average. The Seminoles are scoring 71.2 ppg through 27 games played.

Florida State has a trio of very strong scorers in White, Miller and Thomas that will give Georgia Tech fits. At home the Seminoles can be dangerous, and could very easily extend the Yellow Jackets' losing streak to four games.

Sports Network Predicted Outcome: Florida State 74, Georgia Tech 63
