=== Bucs, CB Verner agree to 4-year deal ===

Tampa, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - The Tampa Bay Buccaneers agreed to a four-year
contract with cornerback Alterraun Verner on Tuesday.

Verner started all 16 games for the Titans in 2013, racking up 57 tackles,
five interceptions and 22 passes defensed to earn his first career Pro Bowl
 selection.

The 25-year-old UCLA product had spent his entire four-year career in
Tennessee since being selected by the team in the fourth round (104th overall)
 in the 2010 NFL Draft.

Over 64 games, including 47 starts, Verner has compiled 288 tackles and 11
 interceptions.

Verner will likely serve as a replacement for cornerback Darrelle Revis, who
is expected to be released if the Bucs can't trade him by Wednesday, according
 to reports.

Tampa Bay made a splash earlier Tuesday by signing two high-profile defensive
linemen, former Bengals star defensive end Michael Johnson, and ex-Seahawks
 defensive tackle Clinton McDonald.

Johnson, one of the crown jewels on this year's market, signed a five-year
deal worth $43 million, with $23 million of that guaranteed, according to
 multiple media sources.

McDonald, meanwhile, agreed to a four-year, $12 million deal to leave the
reigning Super Bowl champions after accumulating 5 1/2 sacks last season as a
 part-time player.
