Named the Conference USA Player of the Year in 2008-09, Taylor ranked third in the nation in scoring with an average of 26.2 ppg...Taylor led the UCF Knights in scoring in all but two of the squad`s 31 games this past season, his 812 points establishing a new single-season record at UCF...Against the rest of C-USA, Taylor dropped an impressive 29.1 ppg...At the annual Portsmouth Invitational Tournament in April, Taylor was the top scorer with 21.3 ppg and was named to the all-tournament team for his efforts...An All-Conference USA Second Team choice in 2007-08 when he led the Knights in scoring with 20.8 ppg and was fourth in the league in that department...Used sparingly as a freshman and erupted for 12.7 ppg as a sophomore to rank second on the team in 2006-07...An obvious scoring machine when given the opportunity, Taylor tended to be a bit loose when handling the ball at times this past season, but made up for it by leading the team in blocked shots and placing second in steals.
