2009: Selected by Minnesota in 1st round (5th overall) of the NBA Draft; opted to remain in Europe to play for Spain...2011: Made NBA debut for Minnesota...2012: NBA All-Rookie First Team...2014: Re-signed with Minnesota to a four-year contract extension worth $56 million.

DRAFT ANALYSIS - Considered by many to be the most talented guard prospect in this draft class...At only 18 years of age, Rubio is phenomenally gifted...Is a tremendous defender, a claim that can`t be made by many players of his age...An outstanding ball-handler who sees the floor extremely well and can make every pass....Has a star`s mentality, which is either good or bad depending on one`s preference...Has a sensational highlight reel to his credit already...Has the potential to be a franchise-changing star...Is a strong free throw shooter and has a knack for getting to the line...At 6-3, Rubio has good height for the position...Must improve as a shooter, as he is an average jump shooter at best...Does play a bit erratic at times and is turnover prone...Needs to keep his ego in check.
