Bulls tack on another loss to Sixers' skid
Philadelphia, PA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Philadelphia 76ers' losing streak reached 22 games after a late run against a top Eastern Conference team fell short.
D.J. Augustin had 20 points off the bench, hitting a couple of key 3-pointers down the stretch, and the Chicago Bulls held on to beat the Sixers 102-94 on Wednesday night.
Taj Gibson had 19 points and 13 rebounds for Chicago, also off the bench, and Jimmy Butler scored 16. The Bulls have won three of their last four.
The Sixers are winless since beating Boston on Jan. 29 -- four days before the Super Bowl and nine days before the opening ceremony of the Sochi Olympics.
They passed the 41-year-old team record of 20 straight losses Monday against Indiana after the Pacers made a late run for a 99-90 win. Cleveland set the NBA record with 26 straight losses during the 2010-11 season.
