GAME NOTES: The Tennessee Martin Skyhawks look to end a four-game losing streak as they travel to face Ohio Valley Conference foe the Murray State Racers Sunday.

On three separate occasions this season, UT Martin has gone on at least a three-game losing streak. The Skyhawks are currently in the midst of a four- game skid, including an 81-68 loss to Austin Peay Thursday.

Murray State has been up and down this season as well, but finally stopped a two-game skid Thursday with an 82-75 win over Ohio Valley program Southeast Missouri State.

The Racers have command of the all-time series between them and the Skyhawks, 39-4, but lost the last meeting with UT Martin a year ago.

Four players recorded double-digits in UT Martin's loss to Austin Peay Thursday, but scoring didn't come from many other outlets in the contest. Myles Taylor led the way for the Skyhawks with 19 points on 7-of-17 shooting, including 5-of-5 from the free-throw line. Taylor added a game-high 14 rebounds for the double-double. Justin Childs contributed 14 points on 7-of-12 shooting, and added five rebounds. Terence Smith added 11 points, and Dee Oldham scored 10 for the Skyhawks, who shot a team total of 37.9 percent from the floor.

Taylor is the team's scoring leader with 16.2 ppg. He shoots a solid 49.4 percent from the floor, and leads the team with a 6.6 rpg mark and is tops in blocks with a total of 12 this season. Taylor has missed three games this year for UT Martin. Smith is second on the team in scoring with a 13.9 ppg average, and leads the team with 56 assists on the year. The team is shooting a sub-par 39.5 percent from the floor.

Murray State trailed to Southeast Missouri State late in the second half in Thursday's eventual Racers' win, but strong performances from individual players kept Murray State in the contest. Cameron Payne led the way for the Racers with 23 points against SEMO, and added six rebounds and five assists. He also turned the ball over four times in the win. Jarvis Williams had a career day, netting 16 points and grabbing 18 rebounds for the double-double. T.J. Sapp was the third and final Racers player to net points in the double figures with 14.

Sapp has only played four games with Murray State this season, and owns a 16.5 ppg average in those four contests. Payne has participated in all 13 Murray State contests this season, and has a 13.8 ppg average along with 19 steals to lead the team and 72 assists, also a team high. Williams is right behind Payne in terms of scoring with 13.2 ppg, and dominates the boards with 10.5 rpg. Williams is also shooting 57.1 percent from the floor this season.

The Skyhawks have struggled recently, and Murray State's strong home presence will overwhelm UT Martin as the OVC teams meet up.

Sports Network Predicted Outcome: Murray State 73, UT Martin 64
