GAME NOTES: The Southeast Missouri State Redhawks have won two games in a row and will look to lengthen that streak as they host the Eastern Illinois Panthers in Ohio Valley Conference play at the Show Me Center.

Eastern Illinois has lost two of its last three games, and five of its last seven overall. The Panthers are coming off an 84-77 setback against Tennessee- Martin, and are 3-5 in OVC action this season.

After losing four straight games, Southeast Missouri has won three of its last four and two in a row, with an 82-78 victory over SIU-Edwardsville Thursday in the team's back pocket. The Redhawks are second in the OVC West Division standings with a 3-4 record, but are still three games behind Murray State.

SEMO holds the all-time series lead between the two programs, 24-21. The Redhawks have won six of the last seven meetings, including the last three in a row at the Show Me Center.

Eastern Illinois took a 71-70 advantage on a Chris Olivier free throw with 3:08 left to play in the game. On UT Martin's next possession, Myles Taylor hit his only field goal of the night, giving the Skyhawks the lead for the remainder of the contest. Olivier led all scorers for the Panthers with 20 points off the bench, while Sherman Blanford netted 15 points and grabbed 13 rebounds for the double-double. Keenen Anderson scored 11 points to round out the double-digit scorers for EIU in the loss.

Reggie Smith leads the Panthers this season in scoring, averaging 12.9 ppg on 37.7 percent shooting from the floor. Smith's 53 assists leads the team, along with his 25 total steals on the year. Blanford is second with 11.4 ppg, and leads the squad with 6.8 rpg. Olivier is the third and final double-digit point scorer for the Panthers, averaging 10.3 ppg. Defensively, the Panthers give up 72.1 ppg to their opponents.

Southeast Missouri drilled four free throws in the final four seconds of regulation to ice the victory for the Redhawks over the Cougars. Jarekious Bradley led SEMO in scoring in the contest with 18 points on 6-of-13 shooting. Tyler Stone chipped in 15 points, Nino Johnson had 13 and nine rebounds, and Josh Langford contributed 10 points. The Redhawks connected on 47.5 percent of their shots from the floor in the win.

Bradley tops the team this year in scoring with a very impressive 21.4 ppg average on 51.9 percent shooting from the field. Bradley, as one of the top scorers in the OVC, rounds out his phenomenal stat line with 7.2 rpg, 38 total assists on the season, 17 blocked shots and 21 steals. Stone isn't too far off Bradley's torching pace, scoring 18 ppg himself with a team-best 9.3 rpg and 23 blocked shots. The Redhawks average 82.9 ppg this season.

Eastern Illinois' struggles have been well documented on the defensive side. That doesn't bode well for the Panthers, as Southeast Missouri State is one of the better scoring teams in the OVC.
