GAME NOTES: After two consecutive losses and a postponed game due to weather conditions, the South Alabama Jaguars will try to get back in the win column as they host the Arkansas-Little Rock Trojans in Sun Belt Conference action at the Mitchell Center.

UALR has won two of its last three games, including an 80-69 victory over Louisiana on Thursday. The Trojans opened conference play 3-0, and have since gone 3-3 for a 6-3 Sun Belt record. The Trojans are two games back of Georgia State in the conference.

South Alabama was supposed to play a game against Georgia State in Atlanta before inclement weather forced the postponement of the contest. The Jaguars last took the court against Texas-Arlington last Saturday, which resulted in a 73-65 loss. USA is 1-6 in Sun Belt play this season.

South Alabama holds a 25-14 all-time series lead over UALR, and is 13-4 all- time in Mobile against the Trojans. UALR defeated South Alabama once this season already in Little Rock, 65-60.

The Trojans ended the game against Louisiana on a 21-10 run that helped lift them over the Ragin' Cajuns in conference play. Will Neighbour paced the team with 24 points and a team-high 12 rebounds, completing the double-double. Josh Hagins chipped in 14 points and Ben Dillard added 11 in the win. The Trojans shot 47,2 percent from the floor in the game, but hit just 23.1 percent of their 3-point attempts.

Neighbour leads the team in scoring this season with 17.5 ppg on an impressive 50 percent shooting from the floor. His 29 steals and 22 blocked shots is also a team high, as is his 7.2 rpg average. James White and Hagins are second and third on the team in scoring, respectively, at 11.4 ppg and 11.1 ppg. Both Hagins and DeVonte Smith top the squad with 60 assists each. The Trojans are netting 71.2 ppg this season through 21 contests.

South Alabama came back from an eight-point halftime deficit to take a lead against Texas-Arlinton Sunday, but a 12-3 Arlington run put the Jaguars down for good. Antoine Allen led South Alabama with 18 points before fouling out of the game. Augustine Rubit and Barrington Stevens each chipped in 14 points, while Ken Williams netted 10. South Alabama shot 35.5 percent from the floor in the game, which included a dismal 28.1 percent in the first half.

Rubit leads the team in scoring this season with 16.5 ppg on 44.2 percent shooting from the field. Rubit's 9.8 rpg tops the team, and 21 blocked shots is second behind Mychal Ammons. Allen is the only other USA player to average double-digit point totals this season, netting 10.4 ppg. Stevens leads the team with 45 assists on the year, but averages just 6.8 ppg. The Jaguars are scoring an average of 69.3 ppg this year.

South Alabama's struggles in conference play have been well documented, while UALR continues to move through the Sun Belt with six wins already. If UALR gets past USA on the road, the Trojans will have two straight home games against conference-leading Georgia State and Western Kentucky.
