Gaines and Clancy named CBA Players of the Week

Boise, ID (Sports Network) - Michigan Mayhem forward Charles Gaines and Idaho Stampede forward Sam Clancy were named Eastern and Western Conference Players of the Week, respectively, for games played Sunday, January 16 through Saturday, January 22.

Gaines averaged 22.6 points and 13.3 rebounds over three games last week and also collected seven points and six boards in the 21st CBA All-Star Classic on January 19.

Clancy earned his third Player of the Week award this season and second in a row after posting averages of 30 points and 14 rebounds per game in leading the Stampede to a 1-1 record last week. He also captured All-Star Game MVP honors, as he led all players with 25 points and 17 boards.

Other players receiving consideration were Great Lakes' Mark Jones and Dakota's Sean Lampley.
