Bryans lose in ATP Finals final

London, England (SportsNetwork.com) - A sixth-seeded Spanish tandem of Fernando Verdasco and David Marrero upset the world No. 1 Bryan brothers, Bob and Mike, in Monday's doubles final at the ATP World Tour Finals in London.

The former top-10 singles star Verdasco and Marrero topped the mighty Bryans 7-5, 6-7 (3-7), 10-7 at The O2 to capture their first title at this prestigious eight-team event.

The 35-year-old twin Bryans captured this tournament in 2003 and 2004 in Houston and 2009 in London. They were also runners-up in 2008 in Shanghai.

The Bryans captured three of the four Grand Slam events this year.

Verdasco and Marrero will split $335,500.
