Description: Fox Sports.com reports the Seahawks worked out Jarrett on Tuesday.
Insight: Bobby Engram also worked out for the Seahawks on Tuesday. Jarrett of course has ties to Seattle head coach Pete Carroll from their days together at USC. (RapidDraft.com)

Description: ESPN's Adam Schefter reports, via Twitter, that the Panthers waived Jarrett.
Insight: Jarrett was arrested for DWI on Tuesday morning for the second time in three years, so the Panthers cut ties with their 2007 second-round pick. (RapidDraft.com)

Description: The Panthers have released WR Dwayne Jarrett. SOURCE: TWITTER
Insight: It took Jarrett's second DWI arrest for the team to finally pull the plug. A healthy scratch on a team that desperately needs a receiver across from Steve Smith, we doubt Jarrett gets any free agent interest.

Description: The Carolina Panthers have cut WR Dwayne Jarrett after another DWI conviction. SOURCE: TWITTER - ADAM SCHEFTER
Insight: Not a big surprise here as Jarrett wasn't seeing much field time anyhow. With younger receivers, Gettis and LaFell, playing much better, Jarrett was clearly expendable.

Description: The Rock Hill Herald reports Jarrett was arrested for driving while impaired early Tuesday morning.
Insight: Jarrett was arrested for DWI in March 2008, so a league suspension could be coming. The Panthers may choose to cut him loose. (RapidDraft.com)

Insight: What a bum. This is Jarrett's second DWI, so he could be facing a suspension. Why the Panthers continue to hold onto this guy, we will never know.

Description: The agent for Panthers WR Dwayne Jarrett worked "behind the scenes" this offseason to try to engineer a trade out of Carolina. SOURCE: GASTON GAZETTE
Insight: The Panthers, stubbornly, still believe Jarrett can be an asset. The team wouldn't have gotten nothing more than a very late draft pick anyways. For now Jarrett is stuck as a backup on the sidelines.

Description: The Gaston Gazette reports Jarrett said his agent worked "behind the scenes" this offseason to engineer a trade out of Carolina.
Insight: Jarrett is currently buried on the Panthers' WR depth chart, so he has no fantasy value perhaps until he lands elsewhere. (RapidDraft.com)

9/27/2010 10:04:00 AM
Description: Darin Gantt of the Charlotte Observer reports Jarrett's time in Carolina "appears to be drawing to a close."
Insight: Jarrett was a healthy scratch on Sunday against the Bengals, as he has fallen behind rookie David Gettis now. He has just 35 receptions in 31 career games. (RapidDraft.com)

9/1/2010 2:00:00 PM
Description: Darin Gantt of the Charlotte Observer still projects Jarrett as a starter opposite Steve Smith.
Insight: Rookie Brandon LaFell has failed to take the opportunity to win a starting job, leaving Jarrett in the role by default really. (RapidDraft.com)

Description: Panthers WR Dwayne Jarrett is still projected as a starter across from WR Steve Smith. SOURCE: CHARLOTTE OBSERVER
Insight: Rookie Brandon LaFell had a great opportunity at finally unseating Jarrett for the job, but he's only caught three passes in three preseason games. We can't see Jarrett doing much, fantasywise, if he starts.

Description: Panthers WR Dwayne Jarrett reportedly suffered, what was believed to be, a hamstring injury after a rough start to Thursday's first training camp practice. SOURCE: TWITTER
Insight: Maybe the Panthers can try and lure Muhsin Muhammad out of retirement. Jarrett reportedly limped off the field after running the wrong route, but eventually came back after sitting out for a bit. Even though he began training camp as the starter, Brandon LaFell and Armanti Edwards will be given every opportunity to take the job away.

7/29/2010 12:22:00 PM
Description: Darin Gantt of the Rock Hill Herald reports, via Twitter, that Jarrett (hamstring) suffered an apparent hamstring injury during Thursday's practice.
Insight: Not a good start to training camp for Jarrett, who is competing for the starting job opposite Steve Smith. He was apparently able to return to practice though. (Rapid Draft.com)

7/23/2010 1:08:00 AM
Description: The Gaston Gazette reports Jarrett could "easily" be released before the season starts if he does not show improvement in August.
Insight: Jarrett was a first round pick in 2007, and has been a bust thus far in his NFL career. He looks to have one more chance to make an impact in Carolina. (SportsBuff.com)

7/20/2010 12:40:00 PM
Description: The Panthers' starting flanker job is reportedly WR Dwayne Jarrett's "until he coughs it up." SOURCE: TWITTER
Insight: With Muhsin Muhammad now retired, Jarrett basically gets the job by default. He has always shined in practice, but falls through the cracks on game day. Rookie Brandon LaFell had a severe case of the dropsies in early OTAs, so he will have to have a big training camp if he wants to give Jarrett competition for the starting job.

7/20/2010 10:41:00 AM
Description: Darin Gantt of the Rock Hill Herald thinks the Panthers' starting flanker job is Jarrett's "until he coughs it up."
Insight: Rookie Brandon LaFell could be a threat to win the job, but Jarrett could now finally have an opportunity to play a lot in 2010. (SportsBuff.com)

4/27/2010 11:35:00 AM
Description: The Gaston Gazette reports Jarrett has switched agents to Drew Rosenhaus.
Insight: Jarrett is entering the final year of his contract, but has just 33 catches for 388 yards and one touchdown in 29 career games. He will have to beat out rookie Brandon LaFell to start opposite Steve Smith. (SportsBuff.com)

3/10/2010 10:08:00 AM
Description: Steve Reed of the Gaston Gazette expects Jarrett should keep his roster spot "unless he completely bombs out in training camp."
Insight: Jarrett has been a bust thus far in his NFL career, but should have one more opportunity to turn things around in 2010. (SportsBuff.com)

1/4/2010 12:13:00 AM
Description: Jarrett had five catches for 68 yards and a touchdown in Carolina's win over New Orleans on Sunday.
Insight: This was Jarrett's first touchdown in his three NFL seasons. He has a long way to go to prove he has what it takes to succeed. (SportsBuff.com)

12/21/2009 12:44:00 PM
Description: Darin Gantt of the Rock Hill Herald speculates that Jarrett could be cut after the season.
Insight: Jarrett has been a bust as a former first round pick out of USC. He has been dealing with an ankle issue, but he has not shown much potential when given the chance. (SportsBuff.com)
