Notes: 2009: Selected by San Antonio in 2nd round (37th overall) of the NBA Draft...2010: NBA All-Rookie Second Team.
NBA DRAFT ANALYSIS: One of the toughest interior players in the college game, despite being just a sophomore...Dominated play not only in the Big East, but across the country, averaging 15.7 ppg and 12.3 rpg. Unanimous selection to the All-Big East First-Team, while earning a share of the Big East Player of the Year award with Hasheem Thabeet of Connecticut...Uses hisstrength and large frame to gain position under the basket and can be a terror on the offensive glass...Able to deal with double teams and has tremendous court vision, making him a terrific passer...His lack of height will be a hurdle at the next level...A lack of work ethic could be a concern...Needs to improve his mid-range shot at the next level, as well as free-throw shooting (61 percent). |
