Insight: Chicago dealt closer Addison Reed to get Davidson from the Diamondbacks this offseason, but it has decided to begin the season with Conor Gillespie at the hot corner even though Davidson has hit .308 with two home runs this spring. Davidson has hit 78 homers over the last four minor-league seasons.

Insight: The 22-year-old Davidson could open the season as the White Sox starter at third base. He hot just .237 in 76 at-bats with Arizona, but banged out 17 HR at Triple-A. The last time Chicago had a fantasy quality was 2006 when Joe Crede batted .283 with 30 HR and 94 RBI.

Insight: Davidson hit .278 with 16 homers, 68 RBI and an .832 OPS in 108 games with Triple-A Reno this season. He's strikes out a lot (123 K this season), so he could have trouble hitting for average in the majors. His biggest contribution to fantasy leagues will come via his power.
