MLB Game Summary - Los Angeles at Cleveland

(Friday, June 13th)

Final Score: Los Angeles 4, Cleveland 3 (10 innings)

Cleveland, OH (Sports Network) - Jolbert Cabrera hit an RBI double in the top of the 10th inning to lift the Los Angeles Dodgers to a 4-3 win over the Cleveland Indians in the opener of a three-game Interleague set at Jacobs Field.

Shawn Green finished with a pair of hits, an RBI and a run scored for the Dodgers, who have won four straight and six of their last eight. Paul Lo Duca went 1-for-3 and extended his career-high hitting streak to 21 games.

Milton Bradley drove in two runs and Coco Crisp scored twice for Cleveland, which lost for the seventh time in its last 10 games. Shane Spencer posted two hits and an RBI in a losing cause.

In the top of the 10th, Mike Kinkade was hit by a Jake Westbrook pitch with one out, moved to second on a base hit by Ron Coomer and scored on the double by Cabrera.

Eric Gagne came in for the bottom of the 10th and allowed a walk, but struck out the side for his 25th save of the campaign. He is perfect in save opportunities this season.

Reliever Paul Quantrill (1-2) allowed one hit in a scoreless ninth to pick up the win.

Westbrook (3-4) was saddled with the loss after he allowed one run on two hits.

Cleveland opened the scoring in the home fourth. Crisp led off with an infield single and stole second on a very close play. One out later, Bradley stroked a single to center, scoring Crisp for a 1-0 lead.

Los Angeles used a two-out rally to take a 2-1 lead in the top of the sixth. Green singled to center and raced around to score when Brian Jordan's hit was mishandled by rightfielder Jody Gerut. Jordan, who ended up at second base, crossed the plate on a Fred McGriff base hit to right.

The bottom of the sixth saw the Indians take a 3-2 led. Crisp singled, moved to second on John McDonald's infield base hit and came around to score on Bradley's single to center. McDonald, who moved to second on the Bradley hit, stole third before scoring on Spencer's base hit to left.

Doubles by Adrian Beltre and Green knotted the contest in the seventh.

Alex Cora led off the ninth with a double before Cesar Izturis pushed him to third with a bunt. However, pinch-runner Dave Roberts, the potential go- ahead run, was tagged out in a rundown when Lo Duca grounded into a fielder's choice. Green's grounder ended the inning.
