NCAA Game Summary - Navy at East Carolina

Greenville, NC (Sports Network) - Dobbs threw a pair of touchdown passes and
ran for another score as Navy rolled over East Carolina, 76-35, in a non-
conference game at Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium.
Dobbs ran for 100 rushing yards for the Midshipmen (6-3), who got 157 rushing
yards from Alexander Teich.
Dominique Davis threw for 411 yards and five touchdowns without an
interception for the Pirates (5-4), who surrendered the most points ever at
Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium.
Navy took a 7-0 lead on Vince Murray's 10-yard run at the 11:22 mark of the
opening quarter.
Davis answered back for the Pirates, hitting Michael Byrd on a one-yard
scoring pass with 8:37 left in the opening quarter. The quarterback then found
Dwayne Harris on a four-yard scoring toss at the 6:26 mark to give East
Carolina a 14-7 lead.
Navy tied the game at the 4:44 mark when Teich dashed 64 yards for a score to
forge a 14-14 standoff.
The Midshipmen regained the lead at 21-14 when Dobbs hit Greg Jones on a five-
yard scoring toss with just over 11 minutes remaining until halftime.
Davis found Lewis with a four-yard scoring pass to tie the game at 21 with
2:51 left in the third period.
Dobbs put Navy back in front with a five-yard touchdown run with :14 left in
the half
The Mids extended their lead to 10 points when Jon Teague kicked a 31-yard
field goal with just over 11 minutes left in the third quarter, and the lead
ballooned to 17 points on a 29-yard scoring pass from Dobbs to Aaron Santiago.
Gee Gee Greene added to the Navy lead with a 12-yard scoring run less than two
minutes later.
Davis and Lewis hooked up on a two-yard touchdown for the Pirates to cut
Navy's lead to 45-28 at the 7:25 mark.
Teague booted a 20-yard field goal at the 2:27 mark before Murray ran 42 yards
for a score with :14 left in the third quarter.
Bo Snelson extended Navy's lead on a six-yard run with 11:16 left in the game.
East Carolina scored its last points when Davis hit Dwayne Harris with a two-
yard throw with 8:25 left.
Kriss Proctor wrapped up the scoring for Navy by racing 23 yards for a score
with 7:43 left and adding a one-yard touchdown run at the 3:14 mark.
Navy, which set a single-game program scoring record, is now bowl eligible for
the eighth consecutive season.
