GAME NOTES: The second conference play started in the 2013-14 season, the TCU Horned Frogs disappeared. With 17 consecutive losses - all in Big 12 Conference action - the Horned Frogs have one more shot at a conference win against the 23rd-ranked Oklahoma Sooners in the season finale at Daniel-Meyer Coliseum.

Oklahoma, now ranked No. 23 in the country, has won two games in a row, and four of its last five altogether. The Sooners are coming off a 72-62 victory over West Virginia on Wednesday night. Oklahoma sit on an 11-6 record in conference play headed into the final regular-season matchup.

TCU started the season with a 9-3 record. Then Big 12 Conference play started. The Horned Frogs have lost 17 consecutive games, including a 66-54 defeat at the hands of Texas on Wednesday night. TCU, at 0-17 in the conference, is five games behind Texas Tech - the next closest team from the conference bottom.

Oklahoma leads the all-time series with TCU, 13-2. The Sooners extended that advantage with a 77-69 victory over the Horned Frogs back on Jan. 22 of this season.

Oklahoma gained a five-point advantage over West Virginia on Wednesday night before the team headed into the locker rooms for the half, and never looked back. The Sooners piled on an additional five points to their lead for the 10- point cushion as the final buzzer sounded. Cameron Clark topped all Oklahoma scorers with 19 points in the win, adding 10 rebounds to his stat line. Buddy Hield scored 13 points, hitting 4-of-11 from 3-point distance, and Je'lon Hornbeak chipped in with 11 points.

Hield and Clark have been the go-to players for Oklahoma this season. Hield tops the squad with a 16.6 ppg average, hitting 44.5 percent of his shot attempts from the field. Clark isn't too far off the pace with 15.1 ppg, adding 5.6 rpg and 13 blocked shots to his season resume. Isaiah Cousins nets 10.8 ppg, and Jordan Woodard scores 10.6 ppg. Spangler leads the Sooners with a 9.5 rpg average and 29 blocked shots, and Woodard tops the roster with 138 assists.

TCU, despite the horrendous losing streak, kept things pretty close down the stretch with Texas on Wednesday night. The Horned Frogs cut the Longhorns' lead to six points with 6:07 left on the clock, but Texas created some separation toward the end to hold off any TCU comeback attempt. Kyan Anderson netted a team-high 28 points in the loss, hitting 12-of-14 from the free-throw line and 7-of-18 from the floor. Jarvis Ray chipped in a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds, adding two steals in the loss.

At least it has been a promising season for Anderson, if nothing else. The junior tops the squad in scoring with a 17 ppg average on 46.9 percent shooting from the floor, adding a team-high 127 assists and 38 steals to his resume. Amric Fields is the only other TCU player to average a double-digit point total, netting 13.1 ppg. Karviar Shepherd tops the team in rebounding with a 6.9 rpg mark, adding 48 blocked shots on his season. The Horned Frogs are scoring just 63.4 ppg and giving up 71.5 ppg to opponents.

Sure, Oklahoma already has one of the top seeds wrapped up in Big 12 play, but it would be a bit of an embarrassment for the Sooners to drop this season- ending contest to a winless Big 12 opponent. The Sooners should have no trouble scoring just enough to give a relaxing night to some top players and still carve up the TCU defense.

Sports Network Predicted Outcome: Oklahoma 78, TCU 64
