Stanford, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Josh Scott tallied a double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds as the Colorado Buffaloes narrowly edged out the Stanford Cardinals, 59-56, in a Pac-12 battle at Maples Pavilion.

Xavier Johnson netted 14 points and grabbed five rebounds in the win for Colorado (21-9, 10-7 Pac-12). The victory ends a two-game Buffaloes losing skid.

Chasson Randle led all scorers in the game with 24 points for Stanford (18-11, 9-8), connecting on 4-of-7 from 3-point range. Josh Huestis grabbed a team- high 13 rebounds in the loss, which was the third in a row for the Cardinals.

Colorado connected on 45.8 percent of its shot attempts in the first half, including just 3-of-10 from 3-point range, to take a 33-28 lead into the midway break. Stanford hit just 31.3 percent from the field in the first frame, including 1-of-9 from beyond the arc.

The Buffaloes significantly dropped their shooting accuracy in the second half, netting 32 percent of their field goal tries and 1-of-7 from deep. The Cardinals hit 44 percent of their shots in the period, and outscored Colorado, 28-26. But the two points Stanford shaved off the Colorado first-half lead didn't cut it to complete the full comeback.

Colorado had the edge from the free-throw line, 17-10, and won the battle in bench points, 10-3. Stanford outscored the Buffaloes in the paint, 26-18.
