Mckie's jumper at the 2:41 mark.
T.J. Hallice split a pair of free throws for Mercer to make it 66-62, but
Tyler Cavanaugh was fouled while attempting a missed 3-pointer and buried a
trio of free throws to pull within one.
Gollon's tip-in gave Mercer a three-point cushion once again, but the
Deacons did not back down and tied the game at 68-68 when Harris drilled a 3-
ball with 1:40 left.
Travis Smith missed a jumper on the ensuing possession for the Bears, but got
his own miss and found Jibri Bryan, who nailed a trey to give Mercer a 71-68
lead.
Harris was then fouled and converted a pair from the charity stripe, and
following Smith's turnover, McKie slammed one home to give Wake a 72-71 lead.
Hallice then turned it over with five seconds left and were forced to foul
Fischer, who made the subsequent free throws.
Gollon missed a 3-pointer at the buzzer and Wake Forest held on for the
victory.
