(Sports Network) - The Philadelphia 76ers try to snap their longest losing streak of the season on Wednesday night as they visit the Houston Rockets.

The Sixers have lost four in a row and began a stretch of playing 10 of 11 on the road with a 107-100 setback to the Dallas Mavericks. Both teams came in with three-game slides, but the Mavs got 26 points from O.J. Mayo and shot 54 percent from the floor.

Dorell Wright shot 7-of-13 from behind the arc to pace the Sixers with 25 points, while Spencer Hawes had 18 points. Evan Turner added 17 in the setback, which dropped Philly to 4-6 on the road as it lost for the seventh time in nine games overall.

"We just couldn't get the ball stopped and keep it out of the paint at the end of the game," Sixers head coach Doug Collins said. "Mayo got in there two or three times and we just couldn't get a stop."

At 12-13, the Sixers are under .500 for the first time since they were 1-2. They remain without leading scorer Jrue Holiday, who has missed the last three games with a sprained left foot.

Philadelphia has also lost four in a row as the guest and will return home to face Atlanta before hitting the road for another eight in a row from Dec. 23- Jan. 5.

The Rockets have won three of four overall and snapped a seven-game road slide on Monday with a 109-96 win at the New York Knicks. Jeremy Lin returned to the birthplace of 'Linsanity' and had one of his best games of the season, notching 22 points with eight assists.

"It was a lot of fun playing out there," said Lin. "I think our team took a step in the right direction. For me, it was great to be back and it was a lot of fun to play on that court again."

James Harden posted a double-double, scoring a team-high 28 points to go with 10 rebounds for the Rockets, who return home aiming to extend a two-game win streak as the host.

The Rockets had lost three straight to the 76ers before winning last season's lone meeting 93-87 in Houston.

Philadelphia has still won seven of the past nine meetings overall and five of its last seven trips to Space City.
