NCAA Game Summary - Oregon State at Washington State

Pullman, WA (SportsNetwork.com) - Brandin Cooks scored a pair of touchdowns in the fourth quarter as the Oregon State Beavers put up 35 unanswered points to close out a 52-24 victory over the Washington State Cougars in Pac-12 action at Martin Stadium.
Cooks finished with 11 receptions for 137 yards and two scores while also leading Oregon State (5-1, 3-0) with 34 yards and a score on the ground. Sean Mannion threw for a school record 493 yards and four touchdowns and was intercepted once on 34-of-51 passing for the Beavers, who have won five-straight. Richard Mullaney (five receptions, 122 yardS) also had more than 100 yards receiving.
Connor Halliday threw for 248 yards and a touchdown on 26-of-49 passing but was intercepted three times, all in the fourth quarter, for Washington State (4-3, 2-2). Vince Mayle had three catches for 55 yards and a score and Jeremiah Laufasa (54 yards, TD) and Marcus Mason (49 yards, TD) tied for a team-best with nine carries.
Washington State got to the Beavers' 9-yard line on their opening drive but was forced to settle for a 27-yard field goal from Andrew Furney.
Trevor Romaine booted a 20-yard field goal later on in the first quarter to even the score.
Early in the second quarter Washington State jumped back out in front with a three-yard touchdown run from Mason.
Oregon State answered back with a seven-yard touchdown pass from Mannion to Connor Hamlett. The Beavers would add another touchdown with less than a minute to play when Storm Woods scored on a three-yard touchdown run following a Washington State fumble.
The Cougars were able to tie things up once again on their first possession of the second half when Jeremiah Laufasa scored on a one-yard touchdown run.
With a four-yard touchdown pass from Halliday to Mayle later in the third quarter, the Cougars reclaimed the lead.
The edge for the Cougars would not last as Oregon State knotted the score at 24-24 later in the period with a seven-yard touchdown pass from Mannion to Kevin Cummings.
Then the fourth quarter began.
Cooks scored on an eight-yard touchdown run on the first play of the period to push the Beavers ahead once again.
Halliday was then intercepted by RaShaad Reynolds on the first play of the Cougars next drive. Just three plays later Woods scored on a one-yard touchdown run to put the Beavers up 38-24.
Reynolds pulled in another interception on Washington State's next drive which led to an eight-yard touchdown pass from Mannion to Cooks, as the Beavers continued to pull away.
For the third-straight drive Halliday was intercepted and the Beavers once again capitalized as Mannion threw a 30-yard touchdown pass to Cooks.
The Cougars turned the ball over for the fourth-straight possession when Brett Bartolone fumbled at the Oregon State 49-yard line. However the Beavers failed to score as Cody Vaz, who came in for Mannion with the game well in hand, was intercepted inside the red zone.
