Lazio stumbles at Siena

Siena, Italy (Sports Network) - Lazio failed to regain third place on Monday as the club was tripped up by relegation-battling Siena, 3-0, at the Artemio Franchi behind two goals from Innocent Emeghara.

Lazio is now winless in its last five games and has fallen 11 points back of Serie A leaders Juventus, while Siena climbs off the bottom of the league and into 18th place with the win having earned 10 points from its last five matches.

It took only six minutes for the home side to seize the lead as a left-wing cross from Matteo Rubin was finished off by a powerful header from Emeghara.

Rubin played provider once more midway through the first half as Siena doubled its lead. He got to the end line and drove the ball toward the near post, where Alessandro Rosina cleverly redirected it inside the far post from a tight angle.

Just after the hour mark, the home side stretched its lead to 3-0 when Emeghara got to Francesco Valiani's through ball and slotted his shot past onrushing goalkeeper Federico Marchetti, leaving no way back for Lazio.
