Description: The 49ers handed linebacker NaVorro Bowman a five-year, $42.25 million extension with $25.5 million in guaranteed money Tuesday.
Insight: Bowman forms the most fearsome inside linebacking duo in the NFL with Patrick Willis and San Francisco made sure it will have both players together for quite awhile. Willis and San Francisco's two other starting 'backers are also signed through 2015.
