Description: New Orleans backup quarterback Chase Daniel has a hairline fracture of his right thumb and will miss the remainder of minicamp workouts.
Insight: With Drew Brees still in contract negotiations, Daniel was in line to get the majority of the playing time with the first team. His absence leaves the Saints with just Luke McCown and Sean Canfield throwing the ball. Daniel will remain the No. 2 quarterback and Brees' handcuff when the season begins.
