Description: The Browns have brought in receiver Nate Burleson on a one-year deal.
Insight: Burleson played just six games in 2012 due to a broken leg and nine last year with a broken arm (suffered in a car accident). The veteran averaged 4.3 receptions per game with the Lions over the last four seasons, but he'll likely be behind Josh Gordon, Greg Little and Andrew Hawkins on the depth chart in 2014 for a team with an unsettled QB situation.

Insight: Burleson reeled in 39 catches for 461 yards last season. His best year came in 2004 when he went over 1,000 yards for the Vikings while scoring nine touchdowns. Burleson shouldn't be a free agent for long but we'll have to see where he ends up before recommending him as a fantasy option.

11/24/2013 11:52:00 AM
Description: As expected, Lions receiver Nate Burleson will return to the field Sunday against Tampa Bay.
Insight: It's not a bad spot either as Calvin Johnson figures to be covered by Darrelle Revis, which would leave Burleson wide open. Burleson had missed Detroit's last seven games with a broken arm.

Insight: Burleson hasn't played since September after breaking his arm in a car accident. The 32-year-old averaged 7.7 targets, 6.3 receptions and 79.7 yards in the first three games and should see plenty of targets against the Buccaneers with Calvin Johnson shadowed by Darrelle Revis.

Insight: Burleson could return to the lineup in Week 12 against Tampa Bay. He averaged 7.7 targets, 6.3 receptions and 79.7 yards in the first three games and would be a WR3 if he plays.

Insight: Burleson hasn't played since breaking his arm in a car/pizza-eating accident almost two months ago. He had been on pace for over 1,000 receiving yards before the injury.

11/14/2013 1:59:00 PM
Description: Lions receiver Nate Burleson (broken arm) is practicing, but will not play in Week 11.
Insight: He's Detroit's No. 2 wideout when healthy, but the team is playing this one safe. They will keep Kris Durham at the spot opposite Calvin Johnson.

11/5/2013 12:05:00 PM
Description: Lions receiver Nate Burleson (broken arm) has resumed practicing.
Insight: Burleson will probably need a couple more weeks before he's ready for game action. He's Detroit's No. 2 wideout when healthy.

9/24/2013 9:44:00 AM
Description: Lions receiver Nate Burleson, who had a breakout game in Week 3 with six catches for 116 yards, broke his arm in a one-car crash late Monday night.
Insight: It's a tough break, pun intended, as it will give young and talented receiver Ryan Broyles a chance to become the No. 2 receiver behind Calvin Johnson.

9/22/2013 6:36:00 PM
Description: Lions receiver Nate Burleson has 19 catches in three games after catching six for 116 yards Sunday.
Insight: Ryan Broyles returned to action Sunday but that didn't stop Matthew Stafford from looking Burleson's way nine times. The Lions No. 2 receiver is a WR3 in PPR leagues.

10/23/2012 9:37:00 AM
Description: Lions receiver Nate Burleson, who was taken to the locker room on a cart in Monday's game versus Chicago, will miss the remainder of the season with a broken right leg.
Insight: Titus Young and rookie Ryan Broyles will both see plenty of opportunities with Burleson gone. Broyles was certainly the better of the two Monday night, catching three balls for 51 yards and a touchdown. They were his first catches of the season after rehabing from an ACL injury he suffered last November at Oklahoma.

10/22/2012 10:45:00 PM
Description: Lions receiver Nate Burleson was taken to the locker room on a cart in Monday's game versus Chicago.
Insight: Burleson has a right knee injury and is questionable to return. He appeared to hyperextend the knee following a 16-yard reception.

9/23/2012 5:18:00 PM
Description: Lions receiver Nate Burleson has 17 catches over the first three weeks of the season.
Insight: Burleson caught 10 passes for 69 yards and a touchdown in Week 3 against Tennessee. He's a decent emergency fill-in at receiver in PPR leagues.

11/25/2010 10:03:00 PM
Description: Burleson had three catches for 35 yards against New England on Thursday.
Insight: Burleson was targeted eight times in the game, but had trouble connecting with QB Shaun Hill. (RapidDraft.com)

11/22/2010 11:04:00 AM
Description: Burleson had seven catches for 97 yards and a touchdown against the Cowboys on Sunday.
Insight: Burleson has been very productive recently, and is worth a look in most fantasy leagues if you need a WR. (RapidDraft.com)

11/8/2010 11:04:00 AM
Description: Burleson had seven catches for 113 yards and a touchdown against the Jets on Sunday.

11/1/2010 1:00:00 PM
Description: Burleson had seven catches for 47 yards against the Redskins on Sunday.
Insight: Burleson is worth a roster spot in deeper leagues right now, but expect some inconsistency. (RapidDraft.com)

10/11/2010 10:04:00 AM
Description: Burleson (ankle) had four receptions for 56 yards and a touchdown against the Rams on Sunday.
Insight: Burleson's ankle now looks to be fine. He is a player to keep an eye on in fantasy leagues. (RapidDraft.com)

10/4/2010 8:04:00 PM
Description: The Detroit Free Press reports Burleson (ankle) was able to run routes and catch passes on Sunday, and he expects to play Week 5 against St. Louis.
Insight: Burleson is not a strong fantasy option right now, but he could become someone to watch in deeper leagues. (RapidDraft.com)

10/1/2010 6:02:00 PM
Description: Dave Birket of the Detroit Free Press reports Burleson (ankle) missed practice on Friday and is not expected to play Sunday against Green Bay.
