Griffin practices fully Wednesday Ashburn, VA (Sports Network) - Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III was a full participant in Wednesday's practice as the team prepares for Sunday's game against the Philadelphia Eagles. Griffin was limited in practice last week and was held out of Sunday's 38-21 win over the Cleveland Browns due to a Grade I sprain of the lateral collateral ligament in his right knee. "What doctors will do is they'll evaluate him tomorrow (Thursday), and hopefully there's no setback, no swelling with the knee," Redskins coach Mike Shanahan said. "He'll be evaluated through the week, and if the doctors tell me the (ligament) is ready to go, I'll announce him as ready to go." Griffin said he felt "really good" during Wednesday's practice. Fellow rookie Kirk Cousins threw for 329 yards and two touchdowns in his first NFL start on Sunday. Washington has won five in a row to move into a three-way tie atop the NFC East. 12/19 16:19:35 ET Powered by The Sports Network. |
