Description: In what seems like an epidemic, another one of baseball's better third-baseman hit the DL today, as the White Sox placed Mark Teahen on the 15-day DL, retroactive to May 12, with a strained oblique muscle. Other prominent third-baseman who have missed time this season include David Wright, Evan Longoria, Ryan Zimmerman, Pablo Sandoval, David Freese, among others. ANALYSIS Brent Morel and Omar Vizquel will get most of the playing time until Teahen returns, so owners in deeper leagues should give them a look. Perhaps this will actually give the White Sox a boost, as Teahen has been playing less than stellar all season. His current stat line is a mere .226/.317/.321. Morel hasn't performed any better, hitting only .226/.234/.280 on the year, but is seen as part of the future solution in Chicago. SOURCE: Rotoworld

Description: Mark Teahen had three hits, 2 RBIs and 2 runs scored last night.
Insight: He had six hits and a home run in four games since coming off the DL. He isn't worth owning in shallow mixed leagues - not enough power or speed - but owners in deep mixed leagues can use him.
