Insight: Beckett (6-6, 2.88 ERA, 1.17 WHIP) has been really slow to recover from the right hip impingement and is likely to undergo surgery. Beckett could even retire. The pitcher has not brought up retirement, but he also has not said he will be definitely be back in 2015.
