Cleveland, OH (Sports Network) - Behind a career-high 17 points from Marlin Mason, the Cleveland State Vikings claimed a 67-55 win over the Old Dominion Monarchs in non-league play from the Wolstein Center.

All five starters scored in double figures for the Vikings (3-1), who rebounded from Tuesday's loss to fifth-ranked Michigan. Charlie Lee and Anton Grady scored 13 apiece, while Sebastian Douglas added 11 points, and Tim Kamczyc finished with 10 points and seven assists.

Conversely, the Monarchs (1-3) did not place any players in double figures and shot 0-of-10 from beyond the arc.

The Monarchs had the hot hand early, as they led by as many as 10 with 8:16 to play in the opening frame. CSU narrowed the deficit to 30-25 at the half despite shooting just 35.7 percent from the floor in the opening frame.

The Vikings began to take control behind a 15-1 run early in the second half, grabbing a 42-35 lead with 14:14 remaining. They took a 51-41 lead on two Grady free throws with 9:08 to play and never looked back, as the margin stretched to as many as 14 late in the contest.
