(Wednesday, January 30) Final Score: Georgetown 74, Seton Hall 52 Washington, DC (Sports Network) - Led by 20 points by Otto Porter, the Georgetown Hoyas easily downed the Seton Hall Pirates, 74-52, in a Big East Conference battle at the Verizon Center. Markel Starks added 16 points for the Hoyas (15-4, 5-3 Big East), while D'Vaun Smith-Rivera finished with 11 points. For the Pirates (13-8, 2-6), Brian Oliver led the way with 13 points and Aaron Cosby chipped in with 12 points. Georgetown shot 44 percent from the field in the first half, including 3-of-10 from 3-point range, as they went into halftime ahead, 32-22. Seton Hall made only 38.1 percent of their field goal tries in the first period, including 2- of-11 from beyond the 3-point arc. After the break, the Hoyas continued to shoot the ball well, connecting on 50 percent of their field goal attempts, knocking down 5-of-9 from 3-point distance. The Pirates continued to struggle from the field, making only 27.3 percent of their shots from the field in the second half, including 3-of-9 from beyond the 3-point arc. Georgetown pushed their lead to as many as 32 points in the second half, as they cruised to victory, running their record at home to an impressive 10-1.
