For Washington (4-4), C.J. Wilcox led the way with 21 points on 5-of-9 from three-point range. Scott Suggs scored 19 points, Abdul Gaddy tallied 16 points and five assists, and Aziz N'Diaye logged 11 points and eight boards. Desmond Simmons was 0-of-7 from the field but he hauled in 13 rebounds.

Nevada took a 34-26 advantage into intermission behind 46.4 percent field goal shooting. Washington made good on just 32.3 percent of its field goal attempts in the first half.

The Wolf Pack led by as many as 18 in the second half, but Washington came all the way back to tie the game at 55-55 with seven and a half minutes left in the game. An Elliot layup with 4:03 left gave Nevada the lead once again, 65-63, and it managed to hold on to that advantage down the stretch.
