 (Sports Network) - Their worst start in franchise history is in the books and
 now the Detroit Pistons can focus on stringing back-to-back wins together.
 
 The Pistons shoot for another victory Friday versus the Orlando Magic at The
 Palace of Auburn Hills.
 
 Detroit started the season 0-8 and finally got off the schneid with Wednesday
 night's easy 94-76 triumph in Philadelphia. The Pistons held the Sixers to 17
 points in each of the first two quarters and led by as many as 23. They took a
 52-34 lead into halftime and finished with season highs in rebounds (57) and
 assists (27).
 
 Greg Monroe recorded his fifth double-double of the season with 19 points and
 a season-high 18 rebounds, while Kyle Singler scored a career-high 16 points
 in his first start. Detroit played stout defense throughout the game, holding
 the 76ers to a NBA season-low 29.8 percent shooting from the field.
 
 "They really couldn't do much to stop us tonight," said Singler, who started
 in place of an ill Rodney Stuckey. "We felt good coming into halftime and I
 thought our guys set a good example all around of how we can play."
 
 Stuckey has been battling the flu and is probable for Friday.
 
 The Pistons will play just their third home game of the season (0-2) and also
 will entertain Boston on Sunday.
 
 Orlando has hit the skids with a five-game losing streak and opened the season
 with a promising 2-0 start.
 
 The Magic will begin a three-game road trip Friday night against Detroit,
 Toronto and Atlanta, and are winless as the guest this season (0-3). They have
 dropped seven in a row away from Orlando dating back to last season.
 
 In Tuesday's 99-89 setback versus the undefeated New York Knicks, J.J. Redick
 led seven players in double figures with 18 points and Arron Afflalo scored 13
 for the Magic, whose 20 turnovers led to 24 New York points. Orlando scored
 just 13 points in the fourth quarter, shot 49.3 percent from the floor and
 outrebounded New York, 42-31.
 
 "We can't afford to make mistakes, but for me at the end of this game I was
 pretty proud of our guys and their effort tonight," Orlando head coach Jacque
 Vaughn said. "That's a good ball club on both ends of the floor and we made
 them earn a win tonight."
 
 Nikola Vucevic posted a double-double with 12 points and 10 boards. Point
 guard Jameer Nelson sat for the sixth straight game with a strained right
 hamstring and is questionable for Friday.
 
 The Magic are third-to-last in scoring with 88.0 ppg and have scored 100-plus
 points just twice this season (2-0). They are allowing 94.3 ppg through seven
 games this season and surrendered 93.4 ppg a season ago.
 
 Detroit took two out of three matchups with Orlando last season, but has lost
 six of the past nine meetings in this series.
