Notes: Canadian netminder is the top-ranked North American goaltender by NHL Central
Scouting...Played in 62 games for Seattle of the WHL in 2009-10 and was
16-34-12 with a 3.09 goals-against average for a poor Thunderbirds
squad...Also had a strong .914 save percentage for Seattle despite facing 40
shots or more on 20 different occasions during the 2009-10 campaign...Was 3-3
with a 2.87 GAA and .894 save percentage in six games for Team Canada at the
2010 World Under-18 Championships...Not a particularly big goaltender, but
scouts love his positioning...Calvin's older brother, Chet, was selected 18th
overall by Nashville in the 2008 NHL draft, making him the highest goaltender
selected that year. |
