                  Final Score: New Jersey 3, Tampa Bay 2 (SO)
 
 Newark,  NJ (SportsNetwork.com) - Patrik Elias registered the lone goal of the
 shootout  as  New Jersey claimed  a 3-2 decision  over Tampa Bay at Prudential
 Center.  Elias  and Adam  Henrique  picked  up  first-period tallies  for  the
 Devils,  who  finally put an  end to a  five-game losing streak. Keith Kinkaid
 finished  with 26  saves in  regulation  and three  more in  the game's  final
 segment  to  earn his  first NHL  victory. Steven  Stamkos and Nikita Kucherov
 supplied  offense for  the  Lightning, who  have dropped  five  of their  last
 seven.  Evgeni  Nabokov made  16 stops but  allowed his team  to earn a point.
 Elias  put his team ahead as the opening shooter in the third and final round,
 pulling  Nabokov out  of position before sliding a shot inside the right post.
 Kinkaid  cemented  the outcome and  picked up his  milestone by turning away a
 Jonathan Drouin chance.

 Ottawa,  ON (SportsNetwork.com)  - Mike  Hoffman  scored twice  as the  Ottawa
 Senators  roughed  up the Anaheim Ducks,  6-2, on Friday. Kyle Turris and Mika
 Zibanejad  each  posted a  goal and  an assist, while  Milan Michalek and Mark
 Stone  also  scored for  the Senators,  who have  won four  of their last six.
 Craig  Anderson  allowed just two  goals on 32 shots  in the win. Ryan Getzlaf
 scored both  goals while Ilya Bryzgalov gave up all six goals on 31  shots for
 the Ducks, who came into the game having won eight of their last nine.
 
 
                     Final Score: NY Islanders 2, Detroit 1
 
 Detroit, MI (SportsNetwork.com) - Jaroslav Halak stopped 17 shots while Anders
 Lee  netted the winning score midway through the second period as the New York
 Islanders  recorded  a 2-1 win  over Detroit at  Joe Louis Arena. Brock Nelson
 picked up a  goal and one assist  for the Islanders, winners of three in a row
 who  closed the  gap  over  idle division-leading  Pittsburgh  to two  points.
 Henrik Zetterberg's first-period marker was all the offense for the Red Wings,
 whose  season-high losing  skid reached five games. Petr Mrazek took the loss,
 having  given up  the lead goal on  23 shots in relief of Jimmy Howard. Howard
 exited  after the  first  period due  to a  lower-body  injury having  stopped
 eight shots.
 
 
                       Final Score: Winnipeg 2, Boston 1
 
 Winnipeg, MB (SportsNetwork.com) - Michael Hutchinson stopped 30 shots and the
 Winnipeg  Jets held on for a 2-1 win over the Boston Bruins on Friday. Evander
 Kane and  Mathieu Perreault  each  posted a  goal for  the Jets,  who have won
 their  past  two games. Torey  Krug scored  the only goal  of the game for the
 Bruins,  who have lost four of their last five. Tuukka Rask allowed both goals
 on 27 shots.
 
 
                        Final Score: Dallas 2, Calgary 1
 
 Calgary,  AB  (SportsNetwork.com) - Jamie Benn  and Trevor Daley scored in the
 second  period  and the Dallas  Stars held on to  top the Calgary Flames, 2-1,
 at  the Saddledome. Kari  Lehtonen halted 21 pucks and Cody Eakin added a pair
 of  assists  for the Stars,  winners in three straight  and four of five. Mark
 Giordano  lit  the lamp  for the  Flames, who have  lost seven straight games.
