Description: Lakers point guard Steve Blake (hamstring) is out indefinitely, according to Dave McMenamin of ESPN.com.
Insight: With the Lakers down 2-0 to the Spurs, we probably won't see Blake again this season.

Description: Lakers point guard Steve Blake left Wednesday's Game 2 loss against the Spurs with a strained right hamstring. He'll receive an ultrasound Thursday and is questionable for Game 3. SOURCE: ESPNLA.com
Insight: The Lakers are already missing Kobe Bryant and will head back to Los Angeles down 2-0 to the Spurs and dealing with injuries to three more guards -- Steve Nash, Steve Blake and Jodie Meeks.

Description: Steve Blake saved the best for last. The Lakers interim point guard notched a season-high 24 points Wednesday in a win against Houston.
Insight: That performance came just three nights after Blake scored 23 in a win over San Antonio. The Lakers have done well when he's been in the lineup and it's possible that Mike D'Antoni could opt to start him over Steve Nash during the postseason.

1/28/2013 5:03:00 PM
Description: Steve Blake is expected to return to the Lakers' lineup Tuesday against New Orleans according to the Los Angeles Times. Blake has missed 37 games in a row after undergoing surgery on his injured abdomen.
Insight: Blake was only averaging 5.1 ppg on 35.3 percent shooting before the injury. Unless Steve Nash gets hurt again, Blake's fantasy impact will be minimal.

Description: Lakers point guard Steve Blake said he had a breakthrough Wednesday in his recovery from abdominal surgery. Blake practiced three-on-three for the first time since suffering an abdominal tear in early November. SOURCE: LA Times
Insight: Blake's recovery has been delayed because of a sore groin. Fantasy owners shouldn't expect much from him when he returns as a reserve to Steve Nash.

Insight: However, that seems like a best case scenario. Blake could be out longer than that. He's not a fantasy factor anyway now that Steve Nash is back.

12/27/2012 10:52:00 AM
Description: The L.A. Times reports point guard Steve Blake will be back in 2-to-3 weeks. He recently had surgery to repair a torn abdomen.
Insight: Now that Steve Nash is back in the fold, Blake shouldn't be owned in any fantasy leagues.

12/5/2012 8:30:00 PM
Description: Lakers point guard Steve Blake had surgery on Wednesday to repair a torn abdominal muscle.
Insight: He'll be on the shelf for at least the next six weeks. With Steve Nash out until Christmas and Pau Gasol dealing with knee issues (not to mention Dwight Howard's free throw woes), things are looking pretty dire in Lakertown right now. The team has lost five of eight since Mike D'Antoni took over as head coach on November 20.

12/3/2012 4:59:00 PM
Description: Los Angeles guard Steve Blake will undergo surgery to fix a torn abdominal muscle.
Insight: He's expected to miss at least 6-to-8 weeks. This doesn't bode well for the Lakers, who were just told point guard Steve Nash won't be able to play for at least another two weeks while he recovers from a broken fibula.

11/29/2012 12:06:00 PM
Description: An MRI on Lakers point guard Steve Blake's injured abdomen has produced some troubling results. According to the Los Angeles Daily News, the guard's "tissues are torn from the bone."
Insight: That doesn't sound too promising. At this point, it looks like Steve Nash is making more progress in his recovery than Blake is. We wouldn't expect to see either player on the court anytime soon.

11/28/2012 7:24:00 PM
Description: Lakers point guard Steve Blake tweeted that he will be out at least another two weeks. He's still recovering from a strained abdomen.
Insight: Darius Morris has been starting in his place with limited success (6.4 ppg). Blake was averaging 5.1 ppg before the injury.

11/26/2012 6:49:00 PM
Description: Los Angeles point guard Steve Blake will miss his eighth game in a row Tuesday when the Lakers host Indiana. He's still healing from a strained abdomen.
Insight: InsideSoCal.com had reported there was a possiblity Blake could return on Tuesday but that's no longer the case. If he can get some practice work in this week, Blake might be able to play Friday against the Nuggets.

11/23/2012 8:05:00 PM
Description: Los Angeles point guard Steve Blake could return to the lineup Tuesday against Indiana according to InsideSoCal.com.
Insight: Blake has missed the team's last five games while battling an abdominal strain. If he can get healthy soon he could stand to see big minutes. Starting point guard Steve Nash remains without a timetable for return after breaking his leg in the Lakers' second game of the season.

11/23/2012 12:25:00 PM
Description: Lakers point guard Steve Blake is expected to miss Friday's game against Memphis with a strained lower abdominal muscle.
Insight: Blake averages 5.1 ppg, 2.4 rpg, 3.4 apg, 1.3 spg. Rookie Darius Morris will likely continue to start, but Kobe Bryant will do most of the ball handling.

11/18/2012 11:23:00 AM
Description: Lakers point guard Steve Blake is questionable for Sunday's game against Houston with a strained lower abdominal muscle.
Insight: Blake averages 5.1 ppg, 2.4 rpg, 3.4 apg, 1.3 spg. Rookie Darius Morris will likely continue to start, but Kobe Bryant will do most of the ball handling.

11/17/2012 4:02:00 PM
Description: Lakers point guard Steve Blake (abdomen) could miss another game Sunday. He didn't practice Saturday aside from some spot shooting, foul shooting and dribbling. SOURCE: Mark Medina, Los Angeles Daily News, and Kevin Ding, Orange County Register
Insight: Rookie Darius Morris will likely continue to start but Kobe Bryant will do most of the ball handling.

11/12/2012 9:43:00 PM
Description: Lakers point guard Steve Blake won't be able to return from his strained abdomen on Tuesday.
Insight: Rookie Darius Morris will grab the start against San Antonio in Blake's place. Veteran Steve Nash remains out with a broken left fibula.

3/19/2012 10:49:00 AM
Description: Mike Brown said that Steve Blake will continue to start for the Lakers with Ramon Sessions coming off the bench.
Insight: This shouldn't last long. Steve Blake is scoreless in two starts since the Derek Fisher trade. Give Brown a week to figure out that Sessions is the better player and Blake will be be back on the Lakers' bench.

3/16/2012 3:13:00 PM
Description: Newly acquired Ramon Sessions is expected to miss Friday night's lakers game and Steve Blake should earn his first start of the season.
Insight: Blake may have fantasy value for the first time all season, but it likely will last for this one game only as Sessions is expected to make his Lakers debut on Sunday.

12/4/2010 10:05:00 AM
Description: Blake had 11 points and five rebounds off the Laker bench in a win over the Kings. He hit three three-pointers.
Insight: This was just the fourth time this season that Blake had scored in double-figures. He is playing 19.6 minutes per game, but does not produce quite enough to be fantasy relevant. (RapidDraft.com)
