Description: Cleveland center Anderson Varejao has developed a blood clot in his lung and will miss the remainder of the season, according to NBA.com.

Description: Cleveland center Anderson Varejao underwent surgery to repair his torn quad on Thursday.
Insight: Diffferent season, same story. We warned you Varejao couldn't stay healthy. This injury should keep Varejao (14.1 ppg, 14.4 rpg) sidelined until March. You can leave him on the waiver wire until then.

Description: Cavaliers center Anderson Varejao needs surgery to repair a torn quad muscle. He's expected to be sidelined for the next 6-to-8 weeks.
Insight: This is on top of the knee problem that already had him watching from the sidelines. Varejao has played great when on the court, 14.1 ppg, 14.4 rpg, 3.4 apg, but now he'll have to sit for almost two more months. Tristan Thompson and Tyler Zeller will get most of the increased minutes and stats. Thompson is now a must start big man.

Description: Cavaliers forward-center Anderson Varejao (knee) will not return for Wednesday's game against the Hawks. Coach Byron Scott initially said he expected Varejao to return for that game but the player missed practice on Tuesday and remains out indefinitely. SOURCE: Jason Lloyd, Akron Beacon Journal
Insight: "I'm still trying to be very optimistic that he'll be able to play, I just don't know when," Scott said. "I hope I'm not talking like it's long term or for the season, I'm still optimistic he'll be able to play this year until the doctors tell me something different." It has to be a little disconcerting for fantasy owners that what has been referred to as a knee contusion is still keeping Varejao out.

Description: Cavaliers coach Byron Scott believes center Anderson Varejao will return Wednesday against Atlanta. Varejao has missed Cleveland's last nine games because of a knee injury.

Description: The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports that Cavaliers center Anderson Varejao will be out until at least Wednesday. Varejao has missed the past seven games with an injured knee.
Insight: He's not traveling with the team to Charlotte this weekend. Varejao (14.1 ppg, 14.4 rpg) has been a slow healer in the past so we're not expecting him to be back in the Cavs lineup anytime soon.
