Description: Mets closer Bobby Parnell has a partial tear of the medial collateral ligament in his right elbow.

Description: The Mets may not allow closer Bobby Parnell (neck) to pitch more than two days in a row early in the season, according to Marc Carig of Newsday.
Insight: Parnell (2.16 ERA, 22 saves) had neck surgery this offseason and is still building up his velocity, but he'll begin the season as New York's closer. Parnell only pitched three days in a row twice last season so it shouldn't affect his value much if he can't do it this year. Jose Valverde will pick up the save chances when Parnell is unavailable.
