Insight: Playing in all sixteen games in 2010, Taylor racked up five sacks, 36 total tackles and two forced fumbles. He's only slated to make a little over $2 million in base salary for 2011, but is due a whopping $10 million roster bonus, which we are sure the team won't pay.

Description: Jason Taylor (shoulder surgery) is expected to be ready for full contact by training camp after being limited in OTAs.
Insight: Watch him to make sure he doesn't have any ill effects from the surgery in training camp. Taylor probably won't make the fantasy impact that many assume he will as a Jet, regardless of his condition. (sportsBuff.com)

Description: Citing a source close to the situation, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the Dolphins did make an offer to bring back Jason Taylor after the 2009 season.
Insight: Taylor says otherwise, but who really knows at this point. The bottom line is that Taylor is unlikely to have a huge fantasy impact in New York, anyway. (sportsBuff.com)

4/20/2010 8:13:00 PM
Description: The Jets agreed to terms with Jason Taylor on a two-year, $13 million contract, according to the Miami Herald and ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Insight: Well, Mr.Dancing With The Stars finally gets the big football limelight. Those who expect a major contribution out of him will be disappointed, but he should be decent IDP depth in the Jets scheme. (SportsBuff.com)

4/12/2010 8:14:00 PM
Description: The Dolphins will reportedly make a last-ditch effort to retain free agent Jason Taylor when coach Tony Sparano meets with the future Hall of Fame pass rusher this week.

Description: The player rep for free agent Jason Taylor says his client won't be signing with any team before mid-week at the soonest.

4/10/2010 2:07:00 PM
Description: LaDainian Tomlinson reached out to Jason Taylor this week, encouraging the free agent to sign with the Jets.
Insight: LT2 might want to concentrate on dealing with his own recent p.r troubles after he slammed his former offensive line. Regarding Taylor, he isn't likely to have as major an effect on the Jets pass rush as some may think due to his age and injury history. (SportsBuff.com)

4/9/2010 9:19:00 PM
Description: The Jets' potential offer to free agent Jason Taylor will be limited to $1.5 million due to the uncapped salary rules this season.

4/8/2010 8:18:00 PM
Description: According to the Boston Globe, the Patriots and free agent Jason Taylor have "mutual interest."
Insight: This is either a case of ?one-upsmanship? by the Patriots over the Jets or they genuinely do think a lot of them. We should know the answer by early next week, but he would have pretty equal IDP value playing for either team. (Sportsbuff.com)

4/7/2010 8:26:00 PM
Description: The Jets have reportedly been "making a heavy pitch" for free agent Jason Taylor, and he will visit the team Wednesday.

Insight: Taylor made news a year ago by missing an off-season of work to go Dancing with the Stars. He then went on to an injury-plagued first season with Washington. Some other team will probably give him a shot, but Taylor will be a risky IDP option until he proves that he doesn't need the off-season program to be ready physically. (SportsBuff.com)
