Description: Saints receiver Marques Colston finished the season strong with two touchdowns and 52 yards on five catches.
Insight: Overall, Colston had 83 catches, 1,154 yards and 10 touchdowns. It's his seventh season in eight years with at least 70 catches, 1,000 yards and seven touchdowns.

12/23/2012 5:06:00 PM
Description: Saints receiver Marques Colston's 10 receptions for 153 yards allowed him to reach the 1,000-yard mark for the fourth straight season and the seventh time in eight years.
Insight: Colston is as predictable as the come these days. No matter what happens during the season, you can pencil him in for 80 catches, 1,000 yards and 7-9 touchdowns when things are said and done. He's at 78, 1,102 and eight with one game left.

10/8/2012 1:24:00 PM
Description: Saints receiver Marques Colston dominated against the Chargers on Sunday night, notching his second straight nine-catch game and snagging three touchdowns.
Insight: Colston scored for the first time this season last week and he added three more to go along with 131 yards. The receiver's knee didn't appear to be much of a problem. Colston has 18 catches for 284 yards and four TDs in his last two games and should continue to post solid fantasy lines with Jimmy Graham dealing with an ankle injury.

10/2/2012 4:21:00 PM
Description: According to Mike Triplett of the New Orleans Times-Picayune, Saints receiver Marques Colston's foot injury might "nag at him all season."
Insight: Colston is a possession receiver so he doesn't rely on speed or quickness to be effective. He should be able to battle through the pain. After Sunday's big game, Colston is on pace for another 70-plus catch, 1,000-plus yard season, his sixth in seven years.

9/30/2012 8:04:00 PM
Description: Saints receiver Marques Colston showed up for the first time this season, recording a season-high nine catches and 153 yards and catching his first TD.
Insight: Colston can be inconsistent but he's put up at least 70 catches, 1,000 yards and seven TDs in five of his six pro seasons. Expect those numbers again this year.

9/23/2012 10:04:00 AM
Description: NFL Network's Albert Breer is reporting that Saints receiver Marques Colston will play Sunday against the Chiefs. Colston's has been limited in practice this week because of an injured foot.
Insight: Colston certainly won't be at 100 percent but he might not need to be to have a big game against a porous Kansas City secondary. It could just be a matter of whether or not Drew Brees looks in Colston's direction. Last week he was targeted just four times compared to 14 targets for Darren Sproles and 13 for Jimmy Graham.

9/21/2012 2:55:00 PM
Description: New Orleans wideout Marques Colston was limited again in Friday's practice, according to NFL.com.
Insight: Colston had the same problem in Week 1, missing practice, but played against Washington. At this point we don't expect him to miss time due to the foot, it appears to be the Saints taking precautions with their injury-prone receiver.

Description: New Orleans wideout Marques Colston was limited in Wednesday's practice, according to Mike Triplett of the Times-Picayune.

9/9/2012 11:50:00 AM
Description: New Orleans wideout Marques Colston is active and in the starting lineup for Sunday's season opener versus Washington.
Insight: Colston had the "questionable" label heading into this game after missing practice with a foot injury earlier in the week but now he has officially been cleared to play. Don't be surprised if Drew Brees finds him in the end zone for a touchdown or two in Week 1's clash against the Redskins.

9/9/2012 11:16:00 AM
Description: ESPN's Ed Werder says he saw Saints receiver Marques Colston (foot) warming up, an indication that he'll probably be in the starting lineup Sunday against the Redskins despite his status as "questionable."
Insight: Colston has been as consistent as they come for the Saints, producing five 1,000-yard campaigns in his six seasons in the league. He should be a solid fantasy starter from here on out.

9/5/2012 5:11:00 PM
Description: Saints receiver Marques Colston didn't practice Wednesday due to a sore left foot, but it isn't considered serious.
Insight: Interim coach Aaron Kromer said he thinks all of his injured players will play Sunday, Colston included, according to Jeff Duncan of the New Orleans Times-Picayune.

3/13/2012 3:10:00 PM
Description: Colston and the Saints agreed to a multi-year contract which assures fantasy owners that the wideout will continue to be a fantasy stud as long as he stays healthy.
Insight: The Brees-to-Colston hookup has resulted in an average of 74 receptions for 1,040 yards and eight touchdowns over the past six years. While tight end Jimmy Graham (149) and Darren Sproles (111) saw more targets than Colston (107), in the New Orleans offense there are enough passes to keep everyone happy.

Description: Saints coach Sean Payton announced Wednesday that Marques Colston (collarbone) is "fully healthy," and his role will increase going forward. Source: Saints via Twitter
Insight: He saw limited action because of his early return from a collarbone injury. He turned in a full practice Wednesday and he's about ready to regain his starting gig and looks to be the best of the Saint WRs going forward.

9/28/2011 7:48:00 PM
Description: Saints coach Sean Payton said Wednesday that Marques Colston has been cleared to return from his fractured collarbone and will play in Week 4 against the Jags. Source: Associated Press
Insight: Sean Payton says he's clear and ready to play and his return will certainly be a shot in the arm to the Saints and his fantasy owners. Unfortunately for Lance Moore, Robert Meachem and Devery Henderson owners will have to deal with a murky situation here. He was expected to return in week 6, so he's coming back weeks ahead of time.

Description: Coach Sean Payton says the Saints are targeting just a four-week absence for Marques Colston (collarbone), meaning he would return in Week 6. Source: Jeff Duncan via Twitter
Insight: Coach Payton also made everyone aware that Colston has a plate protecting the fracture during the healing process. As of now, hold on to Colston if you have the bench room to do so as he should find his way into the starting lineup upon return.

9/9/2011 6:29:00 PM
Description: Saints WR Marques Colston is out up to four weeks after suffering a broken collarbone on a catch in the final drive of the Saints 42-34 loss to Green Bay.
Insight: Saints WR Marques Colston is out up to four weeks after suffering a broken collarbone on a catch in the final drive of the Saints 42-34 loss to Green Bay. With Lance Moore expected back next week, it looks as if the Saints will be using more of Robert Meachem and Devery Henderson on the outside with Moore in the slot. Jimmy Graham also gets an upgrade in this high-powered offense.

8/11/2011 1:45:00 AM
Description: Saints WR Marques Colston is being "shut down" for a while as he recovers from off-season surgery.
Insight: He's missed five straight days of camp as he rehabs, and chances of him playing in their pre-season opener are slim, though he hasn't officially been ruled out.

5/13/2011 10:55:00 AM
Description: It was revealed that Saints WR Marques Colston underwent microfracture surgery on his right knee after the postseason. SOURCE: NEW ORLEANS TIMES-PICAYUNE
Insight: Colston hasn't been the picture of health during his career and this will leave his fantasy value very questionable going into August. Colston had his knee scoped in December, but he says he is well ahead of schedule. Still, we don't like him as a WR1, especially with Jimmy Graham picking up production in the redzone.

1/25/2011 10:01:00 AM
Description: The New Orleans Times Picayune reports Colston (knee/wrist) will have surgery on his knee and wrist this offseason.
Insight: This will be the fifth known knee surgery Colston has had in his NFL career, and he'll probably miss OTAs if there are any. (RapidDraft.com)

1/6/2011 11:03:00 AM
Description: The New Orleans Times Picayune reports Colston (knee) returned to a full practice on Wednesday.
Insight: Colston should be ready to go against Seattle on Saturday, but it's hard to imagine the injury not affecting him since he will have had his knee scoped just 11 days earlier. (RapidDraft.com)
