Description: According to Lions Coach Jim Schwartz, "it is going to be a big change in technique" for newly acquired DE Lawrence Jackson. SOURCE: Jim Schwartz via Twitter
Insight: It's not determined where he'll fit in exactly in the defense. Schwartz is a defensive mastermind and he's hoping to get the most out of him. He has talent but just needs to be consistent.

Description: The Lions have acquired Jackson from the Seahawks in exchange for a 2011 sixth-round draft pick.
Insight: Jackson, a first round pick in 2008, has been a disappointment thus far in his NFL career. Perhaps a change of scenery will do him some good. (Rapid Draft.com)

Description: The Seattle Seahawks have traded defensive end and former first-round pick Lawrence Jackson to the Detroit Lions for an undisclosed draft choice ... SOURCE: USATODAY.COM NFL NEWS
Insight: The Seahawks must have gotten tired of waiting for the light to come on for the former first round pick. He'll move to Detroit with a new change of scenery but might have some problem getting any type of meaningful playing time behind Kyle Vanden Bosch and Cliff Avril. He'll come in to provide some depth in case of injury. It's safe to cross his name off your IDP rankings for the time being.

Description: The Seattle Times reports Jackson has lost his starting job to converted DT Red Bryant.
Insight: Jackson had a disappointing 2009, so this is not a huge surprise. But given the fact Jackson played for Seahawks' head coach Pete Carroll at USC, the speed of the move could be considered a surprise. (SportsBuff.com)
