Followed up an excellent 2010 season (91 tackles, seven interceptions) with 90 tackles, one forced fumble, and 10 pass breakups in 2011...Four-year starter at Notre Dame and was named a captain his senior season...Played both safety and linebacker for the Fighting Irish, but given an impressive 4.57 40-yard dash time at the NFL Combine, has the athleticism to play safety at the next level...Shined in other aspects of the Combine as well, putting up 19 bench press reps, a 34 inch vertical leap, and a 122 inch broad jump...Plus performer against both the pass and the run, although he may struggle man-to-man against athletic tight ends...Expected to be one of the first few safeties off the board.
