NCAA Game Summary - Tulsa at Wright State

Dayton, OH (Sports Network) - Kendall Griffin tallied 15 points to lift the Wright State Raiders as they coasted past the Tulsa Golden Hurricane to a 72-52 victory in the first round of the College Basketball Invitational at the Nutter Center.
Jerran Young added 14 points and eight rebounds for Wright State (22-12), which will take on Richmond in the next round of the tourney. Miles Dixon provided a spark off the bench with 12 points on 5-of-12 shooting from the field.
Scottie Haralson netted 13 points for Tulsa (17-16), which won the inaugural CBI event in 2008. James Woodard chipped in 12 points and eight rebounds in the final game of Danny Manning's first season at the helm of the program.
Although the Raiders shot just 38.5 percent from the floor in the opening 20 minutes, they still took a 32-23 lead into halftime by limiting the visitors to 28 percent efficiency from the field. Tulsa sank just one of its six 3- point attempts before the break.
The Golden Hurricane heated up to shoot 41.7 percent from the field in the second half, but they also converted just 6-of-13 at the free-throw line. Wright State pulled away by pouring in 55.2 percent of its field goal tries after the intermission.
Wright State held a 39-34 edge in the rebounding battle and outscored Tulsa, 19-2, in points off turnovers.
