Mavs blow out turnover-prone Spurs, even series

San Antonio, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - Monta Ellis provided 21 points and Shawn Marion scored 20, and Dallas took advantage of sloppy play by the Spurs to rout San Antonio, 113-92, in Game 2 of their Western Conference quarterfinal series.

The Mavericks could have easily been up 2-0 in the series against the West's top seed, but lost the opener, 90-85, Sunday despite leading by double digits in the fourth quarter.

The Mavs turned it around on Wednesday by forcing 24 Spurs turnovers, which led to 33 points. Dallas snapped a 10-game skid against the Spurs.

Dirk Nowitzki had 16 points, two less than teammate Devin Harris. Jose Calderon chipped all 12 of his points during the third quarter.

Manu Ginobili totaled 27 points off the bench for San Antonio, which made half of its shots from the field. Tony Parker had 12 points and Tim Duncan 11 to go with seven rebounds.

Game 3 of the best-of-seven set is Saturday afternoon in Dallas.
