Insight: Fernandez' ERA went from 0.71 to 3.78. It was the first time he allowed more than two earned runs in a start since July 7, 2013 and the first time he gave up more than three since May 27, 2013.

Insight: Fernandez, the 2013 NL Rookie of the Year, said during spring training that his goal this season is a 1.95 ERA. After watching him last year and his first two starts in 2014, that doesn't seem unreasonable. He has a 17/2 K/BB and a 0.71 ERA in his first 12 2/3 innings and is now 11-0 with a 1.14 ERA in his career at Marlins Park.

Insight: Fernandez scattered five hits and gave up his only run on a solo shot by Carlos Gonzalez in the sixth inning. He is now 10-0 with a 1.21 ERA in his career at Marlins Park. The 21-year-old went 12-6 with a 2.19 ERA and a 0.98 WHIP as a rookie and should compete for the NL Cy Young this year.

Insight: Fernandez has been sensational this season, striking out 124 men and posting a 2.71 ERA and a 1.04 WHIP in 119 2/3 innings. However, fantasy owners should consider dealing him now; the team will limit his innings over the final two months.

Insight: He matched a season-high by producing ten strikeouts. In 16 starts, he's 5-4 with a 2.72 ERA in 92 2/3 innings. Most years, Fernandez would be a shoe-in for Rookie of the Year with those kind of numbers. Unfortunately, Fernandez came into the league at the same time as Yasiel Puig (.436, 7 HR, 16 RBI in his first 26 games).

Insight: In five innings, the 20-year-old from Cuba scattered three hits and one earned run, walking one and fanning eight. It's still too early to tell if Fernandez will be a factor this season but Sunday's outing was certainly a step in the right direction.
