Insight: Sandoval aggravated his injury while running to first base Saturday. The third baseman is currently in a walking boot and will have a second opinion on his foot. According to Baggarly, Giants manager Bruce Bochy didn't sound as if he thought going day-to-day with Sandoval is a good idea.

5/20/2013 11:23:00 AM
Description: Giants third baseman Pablo Sandoval is just 2-for-15 versus Nationals left-hander Zach Duke.
Insight: Sandoval was 4-for-18 in the four-game series in Colorado, a disappointment for fantasy owners who expected four high-scoring games and plenty of offensive production. The Giants scored 17 runs between Thursday and Friday, but just two over the weekend. Despite the mediocre Saturday and Sunday, Sandoval is hitting .302 for the season with seven homers and 32 RBI. This matchup, however, is likely to continue his weekend drought.

Hot5/16/2013 11:11:00 AM
Description: Giants third baseman Pablo Sandoval has homered in three of the last four games and is 7-for-17 with two blasts and three walks against Rockies starter Jhoulys Chacin.
Insight: Sandoval suffered a broken hamate bone in his hand in each of the last two seasons and missed all of May in 2011 and most of May last year, so he's already ahead of the curve this season with 154 at-bats, a .312 average, seven longballs and 30 RBI on May 16.

Hot5/14/2013 10:43:00 PM
Description: Giants third baseman Pablo Sandoval has homered in three straight games.
Insight: He was 0-for-4 Tuesday against the Blue Jays went hit a three-run blast off Brad Lincoln in the top of the ninth with the Giants trailing 10-3 to salvage his night for fantasy owners. The stocky third baseman is hitting .316 with seven homers and 29 RBI in 38 games.

5/10/2013 10:43:00 AM
Description: Giants third baseman Pablo Sandoval is just 2-for-17 (.118) against Atlanta right-hander Tim Hudson.
Insight: Kung Fu Panda is having a solid season and is a better hitter as a left-handed batter (.333 vs. .270 at a righ-handed batter), but this matchup hasn't been a productive one.

5/3/2013 10:16:00 AM
Description: Dodgers starter Clayton Kershaw dominates most hitters in baseball, but Giants third baseman Pablo Sandoval is not one of them. Sandoval is 10-for-33 (.303) in his career against Kershaw.
Insight: Kershaw hasn't allowed a homer and struck out Sandoval seven times, but the Kung Fu Panda clearly doesn't have a problem putting good wood on the ball against Kershaw often enough to help fantasy owners.

Description: Giants third baseman Pablo Sandoval (elbow) is in Tuesday's starting lineup, according to Jim Bowden of ESPN.
Insight: Sandoval left Monday's game after his elbow "tingled," but he felt fine today. Sandoval has a bone spur in his right elbow that is causing an irritated nerve, so he'll likely deal with recurring soreness all season, but he has opted to play through it rather than undergo surgery.

Description: Giants third baseman Pablo Sandoval left Monday's game in the sixth inning with right elbow discomfort. it's the same elbow that gave him problems this spring.
Insight: Sandoval's average is .327 with a .826 OPS and 20 RBI, so his fantasy value is high. Hopefully, this injury won't require a stint on the disabled list.

4/28/2013 9:17:00 PM
Description: Giants third baseman Pablo Sandoval was 4-for-5 with an RBI Sunday against the Padres.
Insight: Sandoval's average dipped to .276 after an 0-for-4 on Friday night, but he has gone 7-for-11 over the last two games.

4/27/2013 10:25:00 AM
Description: Giants third baseman Pablo Sandoval is 8-for-13 (.615) against Padres starter Eric Stults with a 1.513 OPS.
Insight: Sandoval has knocked in 18 runs this season, but has just one in his last four games. This favorable matchup should turn this mini-RBI slump around.
